SUMMARY

  • Generate documented procedures and processes to aid in efficiently installing truck mounted equipment and to perform the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Develop written and visual process packets for shop technicians.
  • Review, develop and maintain the Bill of Materials system.
  • Develop and maintain quality control measures and procedures.
    • Review installation manuals and/or correspond with manufacturer to ensure requirements are met when installing purchased equipment.
    • Work with Engineering to ensure designed components and systems are installed as required.
    • Collaborate with production to produce the most efficient process for installing truck mounted equipment.
    • Maintain revision control on controlled documents.
    • Collaborate with sales staff to ensure that customer equipment expectations are met.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless inter-departmental operations.
    • Conduct pre-build reviews with production staff as required.
    • Final review job orders for accuracy, change orders and production trends.
    • Work with and develop value stream mapping.
    • Observe Compliance, Quality Process and Safety within process development.
    • Generate simple CAD layouts and/or update circuits as required.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

 

This job does not require any specific certificates, licenses or registrations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Associates Degree and/or a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Required:

 

Microsoft Office – Proficient in Excel and Word. High level of attention to detail.

Desired:

 

Design software – 2D (AutoCAD preferred).

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

 

Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must also possess the ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.

 

REASONING ABILITY

 

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

High mechanical skills with heavy trucks and heavy equipment. Highly detail oriented and organized in work. Acceptable written and oral communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a customer service focus with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results. Must have initiative and the ability act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives. Must possess a strong desire to learn.
